There is an infamous lock on the Ohio, Lock 52. There are stories about boats waiting there to lock through. We arrived at 8:25 this morning and one boat was already waiting. We finally locked through at 3:25 in the afternoon. That changed our plans!!!
We were planning to get to Green Turtle Marina today but we didn't want to arrive in the dark. So we are at anchor in an anchorage known as Cumberland Tow Head. It is just after Paducah, Kentucky and just before the confluence of the Ohio and Cumberland Rivers.
