8/05 Friday in Ludington, MI

We had planned to stay here in Ludington today and we were glad we did.  Although it was sunny and warm, the wind was blowing in from the lake.  We walked uptown to the Farmers' Market.  We bought fresh bread and a cherry pie from the Amish and blueberries, cherries, and peaches from the farmers.

In the afternoon, Mary Lou from Ocean Commotion and I walked to the beach.  We took our noodles so we could float along.  The high winds created waves that made the lake look like the ocean.  Yesterday, when I went to the beach the water was like glass.

Tonight, the city of Ludington shut down its main street for  Friday Night Lights.
What a neat street fair is was!
They had three stages set up along the route where bands were playing.  They had a karaoke station set up where the older kids were having a blast.  There was even a magician for the younger kids who had them all laughing and applauding.  One of the bands was performing in front of a Ludington mural.
There was another Ludington mural by the common city garden.

And guess what?  I caught a Pokémon!!   Pikachu!!

Tomorrow, we are going to get up early and go to White Lake before the winds pick up in the afternoon.
